To know Tamara Tanner is to love her. Recently, she was gracious enough to host our team for our new series, Design & Drinks. As a purveyor of all things vintage, Tammara's home is a true reflection of her work and her life. Sitting at an antique table in her kitchen sipping Old Fashioneds, we chatted about her business, Kumquat Lane CO, and her beautiful abode.
Everything about Tammara's home tells a story. The brick-red Dutch door surrounded by Kumquat trees greets you as you enter. A wall of collected oil paintings sits juxtaposed with hand-made built-in shelving and alabaster lamps. There is beauty everywhere you look. Woven rattan baskets overflow with vintage napkins. A gorgeous french armoire used for kitchen storage is filled to the brim with dishes, tablecloths, and serving pieces. One feels transported to another time when things moved more slowly and more elegantly. It is refreshing!
For many years Tammara has styled and collected items from all over the world. Today, with the opening of her shop, Kumquat Lane & Co., everyone has the opportunity to gather a little bit of her fabulous style and philosophy for living a curated life.
